Godspell JR.

Presented by the Mid-Pacific School of the Arts, Godspell JR. is a lively and inspiring musical that invites audiences of all ages into a theatrical celebration of community, compassion, and creativity.

In Godspell Jr., a group of disciples brings Jesus’ teachings to life through creative storytelling, a variety of games, and humor. An eclectic mix of musical styles—from pop to vaudeville—are employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. As the story transitions to the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, students explore enduring themes of kindness, empathy, tolerance, and love. This production offers our middle school performers a meaningful opportunity to grow in collaboration, confidence, and expression while engaging thoughtfully with timeless lessons that encourage compassion and community.

Godspell Jr. is part of MTI’s Broadway Junior® collection, a beloved series of musicals designed for young performers; collectively, more than 100,000 Broadway Junior productions have been staged by schools and youth theaters, with millions of students and audience members participating worldwide — helping young people discover the joy of making theater together.
