Godmothers Go: In the Minds of Killers, With Alexis Linkletter

Join us at the Rosewood Miramar with Alexis Linkletter, an investigative journalist and the host of Investigation Discovery’s “Unraveled: Long Island Serial Killer.” She’ll be joined in conversation by Veronica Taylor Black, head of Godmothers’ Founders Circle and corporate partnerships.

For more than a decade, Alexis has followed the Long Island Serial Killer case in real time, tracking its shifts, mapping its players, and translating a sprawling, often obscured investigation into something legible. Since 2018, she has also co-hosted the weekly true-crime podcast “The First Degree” alongside her co-host and best friend, Jac Vanek.

You can pre-order her book “Between the Devil and the Tide: A True Story of Obsession, Power, and the Gilgo Beach Serial Killer,” which will be published on January 19, 2027, and chronicles her decade-long obsession with the Long Island Serial Killer case, where questions about violence, power, and manipulation become impossible to separate from her own life.

“Between the Devil and the Tide” is a true story of two parallel investigations: one into the Long Island Serial Killer case, and one into the patterns of power and manipulation that surfaced throughout Alexis's life. At its heart, it is a story about the women whose lives, deaths, and stories were too often overshadowed by those responsible for their suffering.
