CALLING ALL BODY POSITIVE BABES!!Turn yourself into art, imperfections and all. Sculpt your beautiful body out of clay and celebrate your gorgeousness in this workshop. Battle Creek-based ceramics artist Earth & Wear By Nicki will guide you through creating your very own goddess or goddeXXX pot, if you will!
You'll be able to make a mug, planter, or vase. You can sculpt your own body or have fun and create any body your heart desires! Nicki will have transfer decals and underglazes so that you can decorate your body exactly as you wish!
All participants will be given stoneware clay to sculpt their piece, which means it will be microwave, dishwasher, and food safe! Nicki will glaze and fire your art. Before you leave the workshop, you will arrange a pickup time for two weeks after the workshop to pickup your finished piece.
Earth & Wear by Nicki classes are safe places where racism, sexism, classism, anti-LGBTQIA+ bias, ableism, or any other form of oppression will NOT be tolerated. By registering for the class, you agree to comply with these values. The facilitator reserves the right to remove anyone from the class for violating the safe space policy.
This workshop is inside the Workshop Room at Jerico in Kalamazoo (same room Jerico Faire is attached to Fiddle Leaf Cafe).
