This walk follows the sinuous course of the Godavari, Nashik’s lifeline, from the spiritually charged ghats of Ramkund to the quieter, ascetic landscapes of Godavari Ghats. Along the way, the river becomes a lens through which we experience Nashik — as a city of faith, water, ecology, and transformation. This walk unfolds the Godavari not just as a river, but as a living cultural landscape where myth, memory, and the mundane coexist. Through this walk, one is actually doing a Parikrama (circumambulation) of the Godavari.
