Blending autobiographical storytelling, character comedy, music, satire, and magical realism, Lauren’s journey moves through childhood dreams, family heartbreak, artistic ambition, mental-health struggles, grief, spirituality, and an evolving relationship with faith. Above her, Black Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and The Father debate the twists and turns of her existence while Lauren wrestles with race, relationships, visibility, ambition, calling, and identity.
