Goat Cave - Beginner Vertical Trip

UPDATE: trip is full. Contact me if you wish to be added to waitlist.
Get in, new vertical cavers: we're doing Goat Cave at 10am on Saturday June 27, 2026. As I'm organizing this one, please contact me via Facebook message or email ([email protected]) if you'd like to join. Space is limited. Participants must have some prior vertical training and must be prepared to demonstrate basic SRT competence (descending, ascending, and changeovers) before entering the cave. Preference given to newer vertical monkeys looking to get out of the trees and make their first in-cave drop. (Preference will also be given to active grotto members; this shouldn't be your first interaction with the grotto). If spaces fill up, I'll edit this post and create a wait list.
Participants must bring SRT equipment and safety gear (helmet, gloves, pads, lights, closed-toed shoes, sturdy clothing, water). If you need to borrow equipment, please arrange to do so ahead of time. I'll provide separate notice about a special rope night set up the week of the trip to help ensure participants ensure that they're ready for the drop. (If you aren't yet ready, or if there's no space, fret not, we're planning additional trips).
Questions? Contact me via Facebook or at [email protected].
Note: Map is *not* accurate. I just don't know how to remove the location info.
