We're thrilled with the interest jn our Preview Tournament ahead of our debut season! Please join us for a girls-only SMART Scholarship Tournament at Harford Lanes in Aberdeen, MD, on Saturday, June 6th, at 11 am. This will be a great opportunity to bowl on a challenging sport pattern with opportunities to win scholarship money via age-division scratch scores and via tournament-wide handicap scores. This will be a perfect event for bowlers preparing for the 2026 Junior Gold Championships or for honing their sport-shot game ahead of trying to qualify for Junior Gold next season. ➡️ ALL scholarship awards will exceed the $85 entry fee.
➡️ Minimum 1:4 will receive SMART scholarships via scratch series score within their age division (U12, U14, U16, U18). (A fifth entrant in a division will trigger a second scholarship, a ninth entrant a third, and so on.)
➡️ All bowlers will also be competing for tournament-wide SMART scholarships based on total series plus handicap. Handicap awards will be given to a minimum 1:12 bowlers. (A 13th entrant in the tournament will trigger a second scholarship, a 25th entrant a third, and so on.)
➡️ Tournament will be four games bowled on a sport oil pattern to be announced five days prior to the tournament.

We are excited that we have several bowlers coming from several hours away, which means several will be spending Friday and/or Saturday night in or near Aberdeen. Our hosts at Harford Lanes have recommended any of the following hotels:

It turns out it is going to be a pretty busy weekend in Aberdeen!
Harford Lanes is hosting a 9-in no-tap fundraiser tournament the morning of Sunday, June 7th, at 10 am for the local American Legion. That tournament will have both youth and adult divisions and the entry fee is $40. For more information regarding that tournament, contact Chris Brendlinger at 443-566-6714.
There is also a music festival - Tower Rocks Music Festival - taking place the afternoons of both June 6th and 7th about a mile from Harford Lanes.
