Come remember Gloria and celebrate the new community created bike lanes on the Go With Glo Bridge!! (also known as the Girl Scout Bridge) All are welcome! Slow paced ride for everyone!
Saturday, November 1st
Meet at 2pm in the parking lot of Roebling Books - Covington
Return by 4pm with a post-ride gathering at The Gruff with drinks and snacks provided
In 2022, Gloria San Miguel was struck by a car and killed while riding her bike from Newport to Covington over the Girl Scout Bridge. Since her tragic death, friends and community members have been working to get bike lanes on the bridge and make the river cities safer for all pedestrians.
The bike lanes on the newly named, Go With Glo Bridge, give us hope that our communities are committed to being a safe place for all. Come ride to celebrate with us, as we show our appreciation for the lanes, and our expectation of more bike infrastructure to come!
