1015H - 1300H: Depart for Sea Exploration Tour onboard a ferry (inclusive of a disembarkation at Sisters' Islands Marine Park)

1300H: Arrival back at Marina South Pier

Set off from Marina South Pier and spot the various types of vessels plying Singapore’s busy waters. Learn about their unique functions, the cargo they transport, and their role in keeping Singapore’s economy moving.


  • Pasir Panjang Terminal

Experience the dynamic energy of Pasir Panjang Terminal, one of the world's busiest container ports. Witness the towering quay cranes and fully automated systems that ensure seamless transshipment of goods.   • Pulau Bukom

View Pulau Bukom, home to one of Southeast Asia’s largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes.   • Pulau Sebarok / Pulau Semakau

Get up close to the large oil storage tanks of Pulau Sebarok and understand its role in supporting shipping activities. You will also pass Singapore’s only landfill at Pulau Semakau. Learn about what the maritime industry is doing in the realm of sustainability.

For the first time on this tour, step ashore at Sisters' Islands Marine Park, Singapore’s first marine park. Wander along the lush trails, explore vibrant wildlife habitats, lagoon tidal pools and a floating boardwalk, as you learn more about Singapore's commitment to maritime sustainability and protecting marine biodiversity, reinforcing its role as a global international maritime centre.


  • Southern Islands (St. John's Island / Kusu Island)

The Southern Islands hold a rich maritime heritage and ecological significance. Once key quarantine and refueling stops, these islands now serve as important conservation sites. Learn about Singapore’s marine biodiversity, historic maritime routes, and the legendary tales that shaped these waters.

Meeting and Ending Point

Marina South Pier, Level 1, opposite the security counter

The nearest MRT station is Marina South Pier Station, Exit B.

By Car

Due to limited parking lots available, it is recommended to take public transport to Marina South Pier. The next nearest available parking lot is at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, which is a 15 minutes walk away.


Tickets & Availability

Please note that tickets are available on first-come-first-serve basis.


Important Note

1. Participants must be above 12 years old to join the Sea Exploration Tour, and those below 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

2. For most of the tour, participants will remain onboard the ferry. However, there will be a disembarkation at Sisters' Islands Marine Park as part of the itinerary.

3. To be eligible for the concession student rate, participants must present a valid student pass* during registration. Participants without valid documentary proof of identity would not be able to attend the tour.

4. To be eligible for the concession senior rate (60 years and above), participants must present a valid photo identity card** during registration. Participants without valid documentary proof of identity would not be able to attend the tour.

5. Please be dressed comfortably and wear covered shoes (preferably with lace). Strictly no slippers, and sandals (including crocs) are allowed due to safety considerations. Participants are advised not to wear skirts or dresses as there might be steep staircases on board. Parts of the tour will be air conditioned. Please bring along a sweater or scarf if preferred.

6. Participants are advised to bring their own bottled water (please note that eating or drinking is not allowed in the gallery). No water will be provided on this tour. Alcohol consumption is not allowed on the tour.

* “valid student pass” refers to any student identification card (e.g., matriculation card, student pass) issued by a Singapore-based education institute, regardless of whether the said education institute is a public or private institution.

** “valid photo identity card” refers to documents such as Passport, Identification Card, Driving License, Ez-link card with an accompanying photo of yourself, PAssion Silver Card, PAssion Silver Concession Card, Pioneer Generation Card, and Merdeka Generation Card.
