Join us for a celebration of this musical tradition, performed by the talented group Gnawa Manchester, as part of a full weekend of Moroccan cultural festivities. Gnawa music, with its roots in spiritual and cultural practices, is a unique and soulful genre that blends hypnotic rhythms, melodic chants, and the deep, resonant tones of the ghembri (a three-stringed lute). Traditionally, Gnawa music has been a medium for spiritual healing and storytelling, passed down through generations. Today, it continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its universal message of unity, resilience, and cultural heritage.
