About Keith Haring
Keith Haring (1958–1990) was an American pop artist known for his distinct style of bold, animated figures that emerged from the New York City graffiti subculture of the 1980s.
His work, featuring iconic imagery like the radiant baby, explored themes of life, death, sexuality, and activism, particularly concerning the AIDS epidemic.
After his diagnosis in 1988, he continued to advocate for AIDS awareness and established the Keith Haring Foundation to support children and AIDS-related causes before his death from an AIDS-related illness at age 31.
