GM Ringway Fundraiser Stage Nineteen - Altrincham to Stretford
About this Event
Moorland fires have devastated the RSPB Dove Stone reserve near Oldham, destroying vast areas of habitat and killing thousands of birds and animals. To raise money for restoration work, the RSPB Manchester local group is walking all 20 stages of the 200-mile Manchester Ringway path through August.
Setting off at 8.30am from Altrincham Interchange and walking the 9.4 miles to Stretford Metrolink, arriving around 1.15pm. Route overview here - Stage 19 Altrincham to Stretford - GM Ringway
The event is entirely run by volunteers of RSPB Greater Manchester local group. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome to walk the same route and take part as an individual. You will be responsible for your own safety and wellbeing on the walk. Please check the details of the route via the link above and ensure you are aware of the distance, the terrain and any possible risks. Please also check weather forecasts and ensure you have food, water and are dressed appropriately for conditions. Tickets are being offered purely so we are able to anticipate numbers.
Our main fundraising page can be found here. If you would like to create your own fundraising page, you can link your donation to ours by clicking here. We look forward to seeing you there!
