Glow in the Park Lantern Walk

Light up the night at the Glow in the Park Lantern Walk in support of Lurie Children's Hospital! Offered in partnership with Charlie's Corner Foundation, this family-friendly event is happening on Friday, September 11, from 5-9 pm at Lake Ellyn Park, 645 Lenox Road. Admission is free, but cash donations to Lurie Children's are encouraged.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 (𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲):
5 pm: Event begins
5-7 pm: Live music by Tres Moustache!
5-7 pm: Glow fitness activities
5-7 pm: Face painting
5-7:20 pm: Inflatables
5-7:20 pm: Lantern decorating
5-7:20 pm: Concessions available for purchase
5-8 pm: League of Enchantment character appearances
7-7:45 pm: 2K Glow Run/Walk on-site registration
7-8:30 pm: DJ
7:20 pm: Lantern walk around Lake Ellyn
7:45-8:30 pm: 2K Glow Run/Walk
9 pm: Event ends
𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴:
Lantern kits may be purchased at the Main Street Recreation Center, 501 Hill Avenue, through Friday, September 4, 2026, to be decorated at home, or purchased on-site the night of the event for $15 (cash only, while supplies last). Each kit includes a paper lantern shade, a carrying stick, and an LED light.
