Kababayan Kids is returning to the library to present a Filipino/English bilingual storytime! Enjoy songs, stories, Filipino vocabulary and a craft. Best for children in preschool through Grade 4, with their families.Tagalog is one of the main languages of the Philippines and is one of the top most spoken languages in California. Filipino is an updated version of Tagalog that includes elements of other native Philippine languages, as well as English, Spanish, Malay and Chinese.
Menlo Park’s Global Language Storytime series features a different language each month, exposing children and families to a wealth of languages and cultures during fun, interactive activities for audiences of all language backgrounds.
This free event received funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
