Description
You will discuss the differences between humanitarian operations or assistance and humanitarian intervention. Using a developing set of scenarios, you will engage in simulation exercises as a deployed team offering external assistance to a country faced with a number of natural hazards. The course concludes by then applying those lessons identified to the home national plan.

Please note: this 5-day course, which is also a module (Humanitarian Operations and External Assistance) within the Masters in Resilience and Disaster Management Programme, can be taken as a non-accredited CPD course. This option allows you to complete the course without undergoing the assignment process required for the MSc programme **

There is no parking on site, however if public transport isn't possible for you there are a number of local pay and display car parks at Cotlands Road and Madeira Road.
