Topic: New Acquisitions for the National Gem and Mineral Collection.
Biography: Dr. Michael Wise is a geologist in the Mineral Sciences Department of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. He obtained his PhD from the University of Manitoba. A pegmatite expert, he has conducted much research and has published many scientific articles on the subject.
