Glenview’s got talent… and history!!
On April 27, from 10am until 5pm, the inaugural Glenview Community Roots Festival will take place at Glenview Park 1141 S. Barksdale St. Memphis, TN. 38114.
This event seeks to remind residents of Glenview of their rich history, equip them with resources & practices that will assist them in sustaining their cultural heritage, social-emotional well-being, and their safety.
We will provide wholesome fun and culturally relevant edu-tainment consisting of live music, poetry, dance, arts & crafts, vending, community resources, violence prevention, literacy workshops, and more. We will engage the community with cultural arts that expose and empower residents to create the change that they want to see in their neighborhood. We will have food trucks, activities for the youth, and fun for the whole family.
Admission is free. This festival is funded by Community Lift.
