About this Event
Discover the Beauty of Broken Glass—Create, Transform, and Take Home Your Own Glass Sculpture!
Join artist TuxedoKat for a hands-on creative workshop where discarded materials become stunning, one-of-a-kind sculptures. Using UV resin, upcycled glass, and your intuition, you’ll assemble a unique glass plant sculpture that captures the magic of transformation. No experience? No problem! This workshop is designed for all skill levels, making it a fun, immersive experience for anyone looking to explore their creativity in a relaxed, judgment-free space.
What to Expect:
✅ Guidance from TuxedoKat – Learn about the origins of the materials, the process of working with glass and UV resin, and best techniques for safe handling. A live demonstration will be provided, and TuxedoKat will be available throughout to answer questions and share insights.
✅ Hands-On Sculpture Making – Each participant will receive their own UV resin and UV light and have access to a curated selection of upcycled glass, including broken bottles, crystal pieces, and vintage chandelier parts. You’ll choose the pieces that speak to you and assemble them into a sculpture that reveals itself in real time.
✅ A Mindful, Creative Experience – Working with broken glass requires presence, patience, and trust in the process. You’ll experience the absurd joy of simply gluing things together without a plan, letting your sculpture take shape intuitively.
✅ Final Reinforcement & Curing – The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to strengthening your sculpture by applying additional UV resin to the seams. This ensures durability and proper curing, so your piece is fully set and ready to take home.
