We’re offering both Beginner and Improver classes:

Focus on core footwork and classic Balboa moves—paddles, lollies, throwouts, swivels, crabwalks and more. Not sure what those are? Come along and find out!
🕺 Social/Practice (7:50–8:10pm)
A relaxed break to practise your new moves and dance with others.
✨ Improvers (8:10–9:00pm)
For dancers with some experience or a few beginner series under their belt—expect more challenging variations.
💷 Price:
£6 per class (+ £2 for the second class
👟 What to expect:
* Beginner classes start with footwork followed by a “move of the week”
* Close-hold dancing—please come fresh (clean top, deodorant, mints appreciated!)
* Smooth/slippy-soled shoes recommended for easier movement and comfort, traditionally women wore heels but it's up to you
* Partner rotation throughout to help you learn faster and dance with everyone
📚 A bit of history:
Balboa is a swing dance that originated on the crowded dance floors of 1930s California, taking its name from the Balboa Peninsula near Los Angeles. Often called “the dancers’ dance,” it began as a subtle, close-hold style focused on connection, later evolving to include more dynamic “bal-swing” movements. Both styles are still danced today!
