We're back! Join us Saturday, March 21st at 5pm (Doors at 4pm) for the annual RECOVERY TAKEOVER at the famous Mohawk off 10th and Red River in downtown Austin, TX. Proceeds of this groundbreaking event benefit The SIMS Foundation and RecoveryATX.
Recovery Takeover, started as Sober X Southeast in 2022, has grown tremendously as an annual live music and interactive art celebration featuring artists from the recovery community and allies, both known locally and nationally. The goal of the event is to create an inclusive alcohol and drug-free experience during March festival week for people who are in recovery, sober curious, allies, friends, and more.
Glad You Made It (GUMI) is a collective of creatives that was born from a desire to create spaces where people practicing RECOVERY—and anyone seeking deeper connection—can experience music, art, and community. What began as an annual event evolved into a full movement: a commitment to building a culture centered around connection, not consumption.
This year, with the partnership of yet another well-known and established Austin venue, Mohawk, and a whip-smart team of talent buyers, we are booking the biggest acts yet featured on TWO stages. We are also proud to continue with an interactive art element of this event, showcasing the talents of some incredible artists, providing more opportunities for attendees to engage.
