Welcome to an evening filled with swing, energy and musical presence when Göteborg Jazz Orchestra performs the big band jazz of today - music written and arranged by ourselves and our musical friends. Experience new compositions, exciting arrangements and a band that always plays with heart, joy and captivating energy. Jazz is fun! Is the motto when GJO nurtures the big band tradition and at the same time drives it forward. The music moves freely between heavy swing, lyrical ballads and rhythmic surprises. You will hear today's big band sound, created by people who live and breathe jazz every day. GÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz. The big band has made a rocket career and in a short time established on the highest level. In their love to music they always look for new expressions and they attract collaborations with the best musicians - domestic and abroad. They often reach over the genre barriers with new formats. The first Monday every month Göteborg Jazz Orchestra performs under the motto "Jazz is fun!" GJO promotes jazz music in Göteborg, always plays great music, encouraging young talents and presents interesting guests and themes!
