Join the Stambaugh Chorus and Orchestra and Dana Chorale of Youngstown State University and for "Giving Voice to Peace VII: Sing Democracy 250" Community Peace Concert on Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, Ohio. 🇺🇸🎶This special concert celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, reflecting on the ideals, responsibilities, and hopes that shape American democracy. Guest performers include the Thiel College Choir, Franklin High School Madrigal, and Hickory High School Chamber Singers.
The program features moving contemporary works such as “Redeem the Dream” by Brandon Antoine Boyd and “US” by Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, alongside beloved American songs like “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Presented as part of the “Giving Voice to Peace” series, this collaborative performance brings together university musicians and community artists in a shared expression of music, reflection, and hope. All are welcome to experience this inspiring afternoon of choral and orchestral music.
