This Black History Month, join Nourishment and The Sickle Cell Society for Giving Black 2026 , an two-stage campaign celebrating community, creativity and collective action for Black British health & wellbeing.

Giving Black is our annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness of sickle cell and inspiring more Black people to become blood donors. There are 2 parts, 1 involves The Giving Black Social on the 15th brings together creatives, community leaders, young professionals and supporters for a night of connection and impact.

Part 2 includes a group blood donation at Brixton Donor Centre on October 17th from 13:30 - 16:00 for up to 50 people!

About Giving Black:

Sickle cell is the UK's fastest-growing genetic condition and predominantly affects people of Black African and Caribbean heritage. Many people living with sickle cell rely on regular blood transfusions throughout their lives, making Black blood donors essential.
