The perfect "taster" class for those curious about clay.Our Spin Session is a fast-paced, high-energy introduction to the pottery wheel. Whether you're looking for a unique date night activity, a creative outlet, or just want to cross "pottery" off your bucket list, this one-hour workshop provides a hands-on foundation in a supportive, fun environment.
What to Expect
The Demonstration (10 Mins): We start promptly with a professional demo of "throwing" basics: centering the clay, opening the form, pulling up the walls and safety procedures.
Hands-On Creation (50 Mins): You’ll spend the bulk of the hour at your own wheel. Our instructors provide one-on-one coaching to help you navigate the clay. Most participants successfully create 2 to 3 pieces during their session.
Finishing & Firing (The "Keep It" Option)
We don't include firing in the base price so that those who just want the experience don't have to pay for the product.
If you fall in love with your work choose your favorite pieces you’d like to keep.
Firing & Glaze Fee: Each student can keep a limit of ONE piece they create, there is a $15 fee. Please make sure to pay before you leave the studio.
Glazing: This fee covers the cost of two kiln firings and the glazes. You can schedule a follow-up time to return to the studio and apply your choice of colors, in 2 weeks.
Collection: Once your pieces have been fired for the final time, your masterpieces will be ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks.
Important Notes
Dress for Mess: Pottery is beautifully messy! Please wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting covered in liquid clay and water.
Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early the demo starts right at the beginning, late arrivals may miss vital safety and technique instructions.
