PAWSitively enhancing the lives of pets and veterinary professionals!
We found out about Paisley Paws through our Vet Lauren Tschida with Oakview Veterinary in Plover , WI. Our 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog Hannah, has some major medical issues that have been getting very costly. She needed a procedure desperately, and we found ourselves at a crosswords financially. It was heart breaking. She is so young. Many tears were shed, so much research was done for alternatives, but ultimately, she needed this procedure. How we were going to afford it and help our baby was weighing heavily on our hearts and mind. We simply could not figure out a way. We were very open with our Vet and the clinic, and they were amazing in helping us try to figure it all out and looking for other options as well. That is when out Vet walked in and presented us with Paisley Paws. This non-profit foundation offered to pay for the majority of our Hannah's procedure. We could not believe it ! We had NEVER heard of them and could not understand how or why we were presented with this?!?!?!? Then I was reminded of the candle I bought at one of our many visits to the Vet. It smelled amazing! The candles were $20 a piece and the $20 went towards this place called Paisley Paws. I had no clue, I just liked the candle, saw the word "donation," and bought the candle. Didn't even think twice about. Our vet presented our Hannah's case to them and they did not hesitate to help us. With overwhelming tears, we accepted and we were able to get Hannah the procedure she needed. When I asked how I could ever repay them, I was simply told to spread the word.
This organization works with directly with certain Veterinary Clinics and never asks for anything in return. Not only do they help with financial assistance for medical care for our beloved pets, they also assist Veterinary students with grants and scholarships to offset the huge cost of schooling and training and so much more!
Their Purpose: Paisley Paws provides financial support directly to PAWrtner clinics during times of medical crises for pet owners who are unable to afford life-saving, life-enhancing veterinary care, provides scholarship grants to senior-level veterinary students to offset the educational debt and provides financial crisis aid to help prevent suicide.
Please go to their website and check them out. There is so much more we can tell you about them!
So here is our way of thanking Paisley Paws and paying it forward like they asked!
