'Giro 25, The After Party!'Sunday 1st June until Thursday 5th June 2025
So the parcours for this year's Giro was announced yesterday, after months of delays, so during that time we have decided to do something left field this year!
Three days of cycling in and around the mountain stages of the Giro, following the pedal strokes of Giro legends past and present and celebrating the best bike race on the planet!
Sunday 1st June 2025
Early evening scheduled BA flight to Verona.
Arriving at our base hotel later that night.
Monday 2nd June 2025
Collect hire bikes from Trento, these will be either Bianchi or Cervelo road bikes.
Various route options available, including the Adige valley, both ascents of Monte Bondone, which will feature the previous week on Stage 16 of this year's race, so the protagonists names will still be on the tarmac!
Monte Bondone was last used in the Giro in 2023, where we were present at Viote to see Geraint Thomas emerge from the mist and ride into pink.
Monday, Tuesday 3rd & 4th June 2025
The Cima Coppi of the week is the Stelvio, possibly one of the most iconic climbs in cycling?
However an attempt on such an extreme alpine pass is weather dependent, I have been there in August and it has been closed due to heavy snowfall.
Another option is the Manghen Pass from Valsugana to Val Fiemme, last seen at the Giro in 2019, a long sinuous gateway climb into the Dolomites.
The whole Trentino, Alto Adige regions are steeped in cycling tradition and culture, a truly beautiful and immersive environment to go for a bike ride!!
Route decisions will be made on the day, and will serve the best interests and ambitions of the group.
Return BA flights to Verona
Four nights accommodation, bed & breakfast twin sharing basis at the four star Hotel Monte Bondone, along with all its leisure facilities.
All associated transfers to and from Gatwick, and in Italy.
