This trail-running event is more than just a race; it's a celebration of strength, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of female runners. Join us for a day of camaraderie, as we navigate scenic trails, conquer challenges, and forge lasting connections. Choose your distance with the 16K trail challenge or the 8K fun trail.
Whether you're a seasoned trail athlete or a novice, GRIT welcomes all levels of runners to embrace the empowering atmosphere. Ignite your passion for trail running, discover the thrill of the outdoors, and be part of a supportive community that celebrates the grit within every woman.
This event will be happening in three key cities across the country: Cebu on March 2, 2025, Baguio on March 30, 2025, and Davao on April 20, 2025.
Girls Running in Trails is a national series race focused on the celebration of women in trail running. The events will be held starting on the month of March, in time for the International Women's Month and will take place in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Last year, the race series was true to the 2024 International Women's Day theme - Inspire Inclusion where we were able to open a playing field for women by women in Baguio, Cebu, and Koronadal. This year, we continue to align our goals with the IWD theme with 2025 being the year that we Accelerate Action.
Girls Running in Trails aims to support women who have the potential to excel in the sport but have limited means. The series race will raise funds in order to support programs at the grass roots: lady mountain guides, women in mountain communities, etc. We believe there are talents waiting to be discovered, and we start by evening out the playing field and then supplementing the progress of potential athletes.
This year, we move forward from inspiring inclusion to taking and accelerating action in support of Girls Running in Trails.
