All proceeds from the evening will support this nonprofit organization, which empowers 3rd to 8th grade girls with the social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills needed to navigate life’s experiences—all through running. Girls on the Run of the High Country serves Watauga, Wilkes, Ashe, Avery, and Alleghany counties. The festival celebrates courageous women in sports such as climbing, skiing, rock climbing, and more. We’ll honor local leaders and present the Leigh Cooper Wallace Award to an inspiring member of our community.
