Girls in Gis Pennsylvania - Limerick No-gi Event

Are you ready for some great Jiu Jitsu? because we are!

Girls in Gis is a community of women and girls in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that come together through donation based training events. They are hosted, instructed, and attended only by women and girls. It's our time to come together! All ages and skill levels from any academy affiliation are welcome to attend. No experience required. Our events are designed for 100% participation, but do allow chaperones to accompany underage participants as spectators.

Our events are donation based in order to provide equal opportunity to everyone. Your donations provide paid teaching opportunities for our guest instructor(s) and help to expand and make Girls in Gis programs such as our events, our leadership program and instructional training programs and our scholarships possible. If you are not able to make a donation please contact us and we will work with you so that you are able to participate.

You can also purchase a GIG t-shirt, patches and more GIG merchandise with your donation. All orders can be picked up during the event.

GIG Pennsylvania - Limerick Guest instructors: Cat Discianni & Kat Filer

Cat Discianni is the co-owner and head instructor of jiu jitsu at New Asgard Martial Arts alongside of her husband and she is a Tac Team Black Belt under Paramount BJJ. Cat enjoys competing and coaching all people in jiu jitsu, especially women and started her teaching career as the women’s class jiu jitsu instructor at Paramount as a blue belt. She holds multiple notable competitive accolades including being a 3x No Gi World Champion and a No Gi Pan American Champion. She also has a full time job as the Director of Nursing at an assisted living facility. She can be found playing with her pet skunk and dog in her free time.

Kat Filer is a TacTeam black belt under Steve Bowers, and has been training since 2011. She runs the women's program at Main Line United in Ardmore Pa, fostering a strong sense of community with the ladies of jiujitsu by promoting and running women's only events. When not on the mats, she juggles a career in clinical research, a welding company with her husband Rich, and mom life with her daughter, two dogs, and cat.

COST: $20 Min Donation. All Donations Welcome.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE. ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED 2/28/26 at 2:00 PM OR ONCE WE REACH CAPACITY. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ONCE CAPACITY IS REACHED.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and all sales are final. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Please arrive early to change and get ready or come ready so we may start on time at 1:00 pm.
