Girls in Airports is described as "a unique blend of Nordic jazz lyricism, indie rock influences and sounds from around the world". The Danish band is famous for their captivating soundscapes that transcend musical genres and geographical boundaries. They combine jazz, indie and urban folk to create a unique expression of heartfelt, melodic, melancholy hooks and danceable, globally influenced rhythms. With four of the most distinctive and creative musicians on the Danish music scene, Girls in Airports is one of Europe's most vital experimental ensembles. With their coherent and unique sound, their music is captivating, powerful and soulful in equal measure. The band's charismatic live performances have quickly made them one of the most talked about bands on the international scene. The award-winning band from the Danish capital has released eight albums since its formation in 2009 and has since toured in China, Brazil, the USA and throughout Europe.
The band's eighth album is entitled "How It Is Now" and was released in March 2023 on the Kaja Records label. It is also the first release on which the band can be heard in its current line-up as a quartet.
