Gerald the giraffe dreams of dancing but with his skinny legs and knobbly knees he has trouble even walking! When dancers from around the world travel to come to his home on the breathtaking West African Savanna for the “Annual Jungle Dance” his friend cricket comes to the rescue to help him realize his dream. Animal antics, dazzling music, and dances from across the globe make this heartwarming tale of friendship a musical for all ages.

The Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project Threads Dance Project (Threads) was founded by Karen L. Charles in 2011 when her father passed away, leaving her just enough money to produce one professional performance. Since then, Threads has produced over thirty works including its yearly Tapestries Program which supports emerging choreographers. Threads matinees, classes and workshops have reached over 2000 students in the Twin Cities Metro area. Threads also engages with the community via open rehearsals, panel discussions and movement-based workshops at their Twin Cities home – Threads Dance Nexus.
