MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
Hi, I'm Kirsten, owner of House of Reese! Reflecting on the past five years, my journey through the world of event designing and creating charcuterie boards has been such an adventure. From corporate professional to stay at home mom to finding my passion for creating and design, I'm thrilled to channel this expertise into a full service vendor for both balloons and boards.
Hi, I'm Keanan aka Maw-Maw , owner of Maw-Maw's Treats. My baking adventure started as a hobby over 25 years ago, but my passion and talent turned into a full-time gig in 2021. Drawing from my professional background in Management, Marketing, and IT, I blend my expertise with my love for baking, creating a truly unique and delightful experience for my clients. And let's talk about innovation—my cottage bakery is not your average bake shop! With state-of-the-art equipment including a 3D printer for custom cookie cutters, an icing printer for edible cake designs, and a direct-to-food printer for personalizing treats from M&Ms and Donuts to Marshmallows and Sugar Cookies, my creativity knows no bounds! But what truly sets me apart is my passion for spreading joy, creating memories, and making every celebration sweeter. I look at every treat I create as not only something to be enjoyed now but to also be memorialized for years to come in the photos and memories.
This class is perfect for ages 8+, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit! The kits are great for kids at home, or for you to practice some more! Instructions will be included.
FAQ
What will I be doing in the class?
- Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own Gingerbread House and/or Charcuterie Board that you will take home with you that day.
Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?
- Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it!
Do I need to know how to bake?
- Nope! We will have the GingerBread Houses baked and pre-assembled for you!
What do I need to bring?
- Nothing! Everything will be provided for you including our rather tasty sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing. There is on-screen demos and presentations, so if you wear glasses, we'd encourage you to bring them as well.
What age is best for cookie classes?
- Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents - come on in and have some cookie fun with us! Our in-person classes are great for any age; however, kiddos under 12 will need a parent taking the class as well. If you think your child may be too young to enjoy the in-person class, purchase an additional take-home kit! We'll send you the instructions and you can teach your kids in the comfort of your own home.
Can just my child take the class?
- We ask that all parents also attend the classes with their children under 12. For children over 12, you can drop off your child to take the class and return to pick-up when the class is over. Due to space restrictions, we do not have room for parents to stand by and watch their children in class. So unfortunately, no - your child cannot take the class alone, a parent must also purchase a ticket and take the class as well - but we can promise you this - it's super fun for all involved!
What will I bring home?
- By the end of the class, you will have created a magnificent Gingerbread House ready to diplay and/or a delicious Charcuterie Board to share! And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!
Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?
- You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 25 seats per class, so definitely sign-up ASAP!

ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER:
An abuser wants their victim to believe they are all alone. We exist to prove them wrong.
Our mission – To help the victims of domestic violence create a new life for themselves and their children. Breaking the cycle of domestic abuse requires counseling, freedom to start over, and a community that cares and understands what the survivors are going through.
Future, Hope & Healing Center became a registered non-profit entity in 2015 and is a volunteer-driven organization. We offer counseling and support services in Azle and surrounding areas. A Board of Directors oversees our work, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about what we do through our contact form.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to help women in need and provide a future for them and
their children.
A future free from fear – How it works.
Immediate support
We provide women who escape from their abusers with:
- Help in providing a safe place to stay
- Help with receiving access to financial support
- Emergency care packages for them and their children
- Help with obtaining childcare so they can continue to work
Counseling
We provide free, personalized counseling, helping women to recover from the trauma of domestic violence and learn to create a better future for themselves. Our professionally trained counselor has been in their shoes and knows how difficult it can be to break the cycle of abuse.
Community Education
Domestic violence does not stop once the victim has left her abuser, nor does it only affect her. We provide free seminars for the community on how everyone can help break the cycle of abuse and create a safer place to live for everyone in Azle.
