Ginger Molasses makes their way through Morro Bay for the first time!

Ginger Molasses is a five-piece rock band formed in 2023 in Nevada City, California.
They draw on elements of soul, funk, and southern rock to craft their unique sound. At the helm is front-woman Tawnee Kendall, whose Nashville-tinged vocals and energetic performances supercharge the band’s live shows. Ginger Molasses’ songwriting celebrates overlooked American subcultures.
Ginger Molasses’ self-titled EP was recorded at Light Rail Studios in San Francisco and released July 2024. They followed this up with a single release of River Rats in 2025, and Heidi Fleiss, released in January 2026, both mixed by Grammy-winner Cian Riordan. They are now working on their first full-length album, slated to be released in the summer of 2026.
