Gina Davey Exhibition Opening

Join our most anticipated opening of the year, Fraser Coast artist Gina Davey’s opening of two exhibitions ‘System Error’ and ‘The Faces We Wear’ at Kent Street Studio at 6pm, Friday the 4th of December. ‘System Error’ is an exhibition that explores the fragile boundaries between human identity and an increasingly digital world. Through fragmented figures, obscured faces, layered text and exposed construction lines, the artworks question how technology, artificial intelligence and social expectations reshape our sense of self. Some identities are altered, others erased or reconstructed, leaving us to question what remains authentic beneath the layers. ‘’The Faces We Wear’ exhibition presents a collection of oil paintings and ceramic sculptures that explore identity, perception, concealment and the different versions of ourselves that we present to the world. The portraits examine the space between appearance and reality, the masks we choose, the emotions we hide, and the moments where the private self becomes visible. Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour will be opening the exhibitions with musician Anna Hoffman performing and catering provided.
