About this Event
Please join Edible Rhody and Gil’s Appliances for a demo Cooking Class with the
dynamic duo behind the restaurant Amaryllis in Providence! Chef/co-owners Tracy
DeFusco and Deanna Marandola will share their globally influenced farm-to-table cuisine
and cooking wisdom with a delicious winter menu.
We’ll enjoy their seasonally driven dishes including Beet Walnut Mahummara,
Mushroom Bourguignons over Creamy Polenta and Blood Orange Crème Caramel along
with various wines.
Local farmers Jack and Christine Tobin from Oak Owl Mushroom Farm in Seekonk will
also be joining us to talk about their mushroom growing operation. Oak Owl Mushroom
Farm is a family operated local farm dedicated to producing premium quality gourmet
mushrooms while highlighting their rich nutritional value and potential health benefits.
Jack and Christine will bring samples of the different mushroom varieties they grow, and
which are the main ingredients in the Amaryllis Mushroom Bourguignons recipe.
There’s so much to learn and taste—you’ll go home with full bellies and a canvas tote
filled with great goodies!
