Get ready to celebrate the intersection of music and visual art in Michigan at GIG – The Art of Michigan Music Visual Experience 2026 on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 as part of the Chelsea’s beloved Sounds & Sights Festival, presented by Rick Taylor | Reinhart Realtors.
This year, GIG lands right in the center of the action at the Social Commons in Palmer Commons Park. Expect an electric showcase of the poster designers, concert photographers, album illustrators, and visual storytellers who give Michigan music its look, feel, and attitude. Just like in Spinal Tap, this baby goes all the way up to 11!
Event Highlights:
Art Gallery & Market (Friday July 24, 5-8 PM and Saturday July 25, 12–7 PM)
Explore poster art, album covers, t-shirt designs, vinyl, band merch, and music-inspired art created by Michigan artists.
Education Workshops + Roundtables (Saturday July 25, 1–5 PM) - held at Ugly Dog Distillery
1 PM - Suicide Prevention with Six Feet Over (sixftover.org)
2 PM - Branding and The Need For Your Own Website with Chris Simpson (Catch & Play Songs) and Annie Capps (Swamp Street Design)
3 PM - Graphic Design Roundtable led by Chuck Marshall (Life In Michigan)
4 PM - Photography Roundtable led by Chuck Marshall (Life In Michigan)
