Gifts of Music Benefit Concert and Silent Auction
About this Event
Join us for our 2nd annual benefit concert featuring Bellingham favorite Hot Damn Scandal. Last year 70 of you helped us raise over $6,000 for music programs. This year, let’s hit $10,000!
Gifts of Music NW brings music education to underserved youth and seniors in Bellingham. Since last year’s show, we’ve reached over 65 teens in juvenile detention, drug rehab, and afterschool programs, and continue weekly song circles in senior assisted living to support memory and connection.
About the Artists
Hot Damn Scandal finds its songs under park benches and in forgotten alleyways, on the corner of Tom Waits and Gershwin. The resulting outlaw ballads, dirty jazz, circus freakouts, shanty-rags, string band funk, lonesome heart-breakers, and whiskey bottle love songs blend together in what may be best described as 'Cabaret Americana': theatrical, orchestral, lyrical, and endlessly danceable.
Silent Auction
Bid on restaurant gift certificates, handmade art, and music lessons from generous local businesses. Bidding closes at 7 PM.
