About this Event
Planned Giving Basics - PG101
Join us for an exciting in-person event, Gift Planning 101 (GP101) on Tuesday, June 10th, starting at 8 a.m. (CDT). This half-day program is designed to provide meaningful information that can be used by every non-profit, large or small. Whether your organization has a designated gift planning officer, development officer(s) who incorporate gift planning into their responsibilities, or you’re considering adding gift planning to your offerings, this program will help!
With general sessions and breakouts, we’ll cover topics such as:
• Trends in gift planning
• Importance of gift planning in meeting your organization’s goals
• Understanding the basic terms
• Common and not-so-common planned gifts
• How to market your program to prospective donors
We’ll conclude with an amazing panel of philanthropists who’ve created a provision in their Will and/or estate and learn not only how they arrived at this decision but also the tools used to ensure a win-win for their family and organization(s) they admire. At the end of the morning, you are sure to have ideas to take back to your organization from professionals with years of expertise and knowledge, plus you'll have the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and share experiences.
NOTE (pending approval): This program qualifies for 4.0 CFRE Credits. Full participation in GP101 is applicable for 4.0 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
