Gift Making Wood & Epoxy Charcuterie Board.

Ages 14 to 17 requires a parent or guardian present during the class. Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Why not give the “Gift of Experience”? Our classes and workshops are the perfect “unique” alternative to a material gift or “stuff” for any occasion! In this class students will make their very own wooden and epoxy "Mini River" Table that can be used as a serving board, charcuterie board, or as a wonderful display piece of custom art. Students will cut their own unique "river" shape using the wood provided for the class. Students will then learn how to properly seal the mold that will be provided for the class followed by clamping their wooden pieces securely to the mold. Then the real fun stuff begins, students will mix up their own deep pour epoxy and choose from the many colors of pigment provided in the class. Students will pour epoxy into the molds and swirl their own unique designs in the epoxy. After the epoxy has cured and hardened, students will return to surface the boards to a thickness of around 3/4" thick and apply a finish. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
