Ghosts of Christmas Past... An Ebenezer Scrooge evening & Costumed Fezziwig Ball!Do something special for a Christmas present to yourself and your loved ones!
Come out and enjoy this enchanted holiday evening at the Historic 1937 Courthouse!
We have transformed the historic courtroom into a Great Hall set in the Victorian age in England.
Come upstairs to the Victorian Ballroom, help yourself to Hors D'oeuvres, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, egg nogg, hot teas and complimentary wine, and get comfortable in your seats while listening to the old time Christmas music.
The historic courtroom will be beautifully lit by Christmas trees!
The Scrooge Christmas Skit will be held in a Theatre in-the-round layout!
Your evening presenter will welcome you, the lights will dim, and the Ebenezer Scrooge whimsical skit will begin!
The story's narrator will tell you about, mean old, crotchety Scrooge, getting ready to retire for the evening, and his ghostly encounters!
Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Christmas Spirit and the Ghost of Christmas future to "encourage" him to change his mean, selfish old ways, or else! (As You know, Scrooge is a crotchety old man, set in his ways!)
After the hilarious skit, the Fezziwig Ball begins!
Jolly Mayor Fezziwig will be introducing the Fezziwig Ballroom Dancers to start the festive ball. Take part in the 1800's Ball, dancing and swirling to the waltz music as you dance past lighted Christmas trees and decorations in the Grand Ball room. Didn't bring a partner? No worries, one of the men or women ballroom dancers will dance with you!
The dress for the evening will be Victorian 1800's ballroom attire.
Other types of approved costume dress include, Steampunk, Gothic, Elizabethan, & Edwardian.
We will conclude our evening by taking a group photo with the Scrooge Actors, the Fezziwig Ball room Dancers and our Lovely guests before we say Merry Christmas and goodnight!!
