Welcome to Ghosts, Ghouls and Murderers - a Pocklington Halloween Horror Trail! Join us starting at The Feathers Hotel for a spine-chilling experience like no other. Prepare to be scared as you navigate through eerie trails filled with ghosts, ghouls, and mysterious murderers lurking in the shadows. This in-person event promises thrills and scares around every corner. Don't miss out on this unforgettable Halloween adventure!Pocklington has a long history of horrible goings on. The Heritage Trust will lead a Halloween Horror walk round the town telling actual stories of the Pocklington's scary events, people and victims.The town's terrible tales include vampires, witches, ghosts, murders and executions from prehistoric times right up to the 20th century. All the stories are about actual events and legends from Pocklington's history, including ghost stories from the Feathers Hotel, Arts Centre and All Saints Church; plus the famous 17th century witch burnings in the Market Place. The walk will take up to an hour and a half, cost is £3 for adults and £6 for families with the same talk on both Friday and Saturday evenings. All proceeds to the Pocklington museum fund, the walk will start in daylight but finish in darkness, so bring a torch.
The Walk starts outside Burnby Hall and is repeated on Saturday.
