Paranormal Activity
Originally built as a church in the 1800s, has been operating as a theatre since 1925. The building was used a s a hospital in the First World War. The building itself has a variety of different paranormal occurrences…sudden temperature drops an disembodied footsteps on the stairs. A ghostly apparition has been seen several times sitting at the back of the auditorium, whilst actors have been practising, only to find that no living person was in that space at that time.
Staff and visitors have reported doors being slammed unexpectedly, unexplained moans and whistling are also reported. Staff and actors commonly complain that the theatre is also host to a playful spirit that enjoys moving things around where belongings and furniture were not left where they were previously placed with no explanation as to how they could have been moved.
Children’s laughter has been heard throughout the building along with a lady that can be heard sobbing. Other reports from other paranormal groups claim that war pilots and smugglers haunt the building.
