Ghost Blimp: The Enduring Mystery of the L-8

On August 1942, the L-8, a U.S. Navy K-class blimp, took off from Treasure Island on anti-submarine patrol with two men on board. Five hours later, the blimp made an unscheduled landing in Daly City with no one inside. Author and journalist, John J. Geoghegan, recounts the story using rarely seen photographs and first person accounts to explain what happened.
