GGRJJOA Black Family Day: Cherishing Our Heritage, Celebrating Our Children

Join us for our annual Black Family Day Celebration on Sunday, May 4th as we embrace this year’s theme:“Cherishing Our Heritage,Celebrating Our Children.”Let's come together for an evening filled with a Special Guest DJ, inspiring guest speakers, and an opportunity to take a family photo dressed in your Sunday's Best attire. A nice dinner will be included.

The 2025 Black Family Day annual signature fundraiser and celebration will engage and entertain participants as we celebrate the joys of family. The celebration will recognize the 15 years of impact the Greater Grand Rapids Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has made through civic engagement and financial commitment to the children of the Greater Grand Rapids community. The celebration will highlight family legacy and strengthen familial bonds through recognition, remembrance, dance, and storytelling.

Our goal is to raise funds from corporate and community donors with proceeds benefitting the Jack and Jill Foundation and the Greater Grand Rapids academic incentive grant program which helps defray the costs of attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

During the celebration event, a sensory room will be provided for attendees who would like a relaxed environment during the program.
