As part of the GGGW 2025, we’ll be walking in Ampthill Park and celebrating our greyhounds with their sighthound and non-sighthound friends. The walk will take approx 45-60 minutes and we will also have a shorter accessible walk on offer for those that prefer.
We are going to meet in the West Car Park of Ampthill Park. The postcode to use is MK45 2GU but this might not take you to exactly the right place so please check a map before you set off. There is a map with the location marked in the discussion.
If you have any problems parking in the west car park then there is additional parking on the road outside the Hub car park or at Parkside community hall (MK45 2HX) which are a 5-10 minute walk from the west car park.
This walk is usually well attended and a good central location. Even though our walks are especially for greyhounds and lurchers other breeds are very welcome to join in.
It's a great way to socialise your dogs and meet like minded people.
During the walk all dogs must be kept on lead at all times and a muzzle worn if needed. If you use an extending lead please keep it locked at all times.
Please also keep in mind that there will be homeless hounds walking with us who might be new to walking in public and have never seen other breeds before.
