Who wouldn’t want to go Christmas shopping at the famous Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland? Who wouldn’t want to have Zehnder’s world famous fried chicken in the historical town of Frankenmuth known for its Bavarian-themed architecture and shops?
GFWC Great Lakes Region President Rose Logston, Vice-President Loretta Caron, Secretary Candy Godbee, and Treasurer Kathy Lewis, and the members of GFWC MI invite you all to join us October the 17th through the 20th in Michigan as we “Celebrate the Power of Positive Connections.”
The Conference includes a variety of activities and educational opportunities, such as:

So pack those dancing shoes and get ready to have some fun.
4. The “Great 8” Processional will start our Conference and the Business Sessions will include GFWC chairman or committee members representing our region on the GFWC Board of Directors and GLR Chairman sharing great information as they “educate engage and empower” our members. We will also meet some GFWC leaders “in the making” as we meet our 2024 LEAD’s graduates.
5. Our "Living the Volunteer Spirit" Luncheon will feature GFWC President-elect Wendy Carriker as the keynote speaker and a presentation of donations to the Whaley Children’s Center.
6. Tea and Talk time will be a casual gathering in the Great Lakes Region President Rose Logston’s room hosted by the GLR President’s special assistants.
7. Saturday Evening dinner will be “Celebrating Kind, Respectful, and Enthusiastic Connections” with our keynote speaker, GFWC International President Suellen Brazil. Dinner music from the Swartz Creek High School Madrigal Choir followed by fun and interactive fundraising.
8. Inspirational music on Sunday by Ohio's own, Harriett Groh, then the concluding business session with enthusiastic reports from our Great 8, a memorial service, and an invitation to the 2025 GFWC Great Lakes Region Conference in Ohio, my home state.
Additionally, there is a special contest called "Bring One, Get One," encouraging attendees to bring a new member to the conference, with the chance to win a designer purse and wallet.
We know the GFWC Michigan members under the leadership of President Rae Lynn Hicks, Conference Chairman, Sue Johnson assisted by Tammy Parenteau, have been working hard for quite some time to make sure all of those in attendance have a wonderful time and go home with lots of wonderful memories and maybe some new friends.
You still have time to get your reservation in and enjoy all the great things that await you in Michigan.
You will see and feel that "Living the Volunteer Spirit" is enthusiasm, kindness, and friendship in action!
