About this Event
Founded in London in 2011, Disegno is one of the UK's leading design journals. A biannual print publication, Disegno is known for its long-form journalism and photography, covering architecture, fashion, industrial design, technology, urbanism and the wider social, environmental and political forces that shape them. Issue 41 continues this tradition, exploring the role of experimentation in design through short stories about research, adaptation and originality from across the world.
To mark the launch, Disegno will be hosted by Manchester's UNITOM – a much-loved destination for independent magazines, print culture and creative publishing.
During the event, there will be an in-conversation discussion between representatives from Disegno, UNITOM and GF Smith, exploring the enduring relevance of print in a digital age, the importance of paper as a creative medium, and the role independent publishing continues to play in shaping contemporary culture.
Guests will have the opportunity to purchase copies of Issue 41, connect with members of the design community, and enjoy an evening dedicated to the future of publishing and print.
