About this Event
Sourdough - It's that simple staple that nourishes body and spirit. Even those who don't eat wheat can enjoy a fresh loaf, with just a few ingredients and barely any fuss. Join Sarah Quinn of Love Kitchen Bakery as we dive into the wonderful world of bread!
This hands-on introductory workshop will cover:
- Sourdough starter development and maintenance
- Different gluten-free flours and their qualities
- A reliable recipe and method for a gluten-free sourdough loaf
- Flavour variations and getting creative!
Every participant will go home with:
- Active and healthy gluten-free sourdough starter
- A mixed and shaped loaf, ready to bake at home
- Some freshly-baked, gluten-free sourdough bread
- Notes for success at home
This friendly and relaxed small class will give you everything you need to confidently get started baking delicious sourdough bread for you and your loved ones. Spaces are limited in order to maximise our time together.
Recipe used does not contain gluten, dairy, eggs, gums or soy. Contains flax. Can be easily adapted to be free of corn and potato.
NB: The class will be held in a community kitchen that is not certified gluten-free. However, all equipment is cleaned after use, and no food is stored on-site. Any ingredients or equipment supplied by Sarah come from a gluten-free kitchen.
