Get to Know Your Parish Weekend

It’s back! November 7-8 is Stewardship Weekend at St. Robert, and we’re bringing back the Get to Know Your Parish event in Newminster Hall.
After any weekend Mass, stop into Newminster Hall where representatives from more than 25 parish ministries will be available to greet you, answer questions, and welcome your participation. Each ministry will be in the hall for at least 30-40 minutes to give you time to see the wealth of opportunities to put your time, talent, and treasure to good use in our Church and our community.
Refreshments will be served and a “Kids Zone” will be available to keep your young ones occupied as you peruse the various tables.
Some of the ministries that will be present that weekend include:

Please join us in Newminster Hall during Stewardship Weekend. St. Robert is a big church; there are MANY ministries to choose from, and you can find an activity that speaks to your heart and find fellowship in joining with others to go forth and serve the Lord and each other.
November is widely known in the Catholic Church as Stewardship Month. November is also the month in which Catholics in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving, the heart of which is gratitude. In fact, the word Eucharist comes from the Greek for “thanksgiving.” This makes November an ideal time of year to focus our spiritual lives more intently on gratitude for the blessings of the Lord and to respond by living and serving with hearts formed by charity, courage, and hope. Please prayerfully consider where God is calling you to serve and take time Nov. 7 & 8 to discover the many ministries of our parish where you can put faith into action.
