Get Tested
National HIV Testing Day is observed every year on June 27th. It is a day to promote HIV testing and remind people of the importance of knowing their HIV status.
To support our community members in knowing their status and to increase awareness of National HIV Testing Day, Wood Buffalo Pride is hosting Get Tested! in partnership with our local Public Health STI Clinic Nurses and Wood Buffalo Wellness Society on June 26th. This is an opportunity for any 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies to get screened for HIV, syphilis, and Hepatitis C in an inclusive, supportive environment.
Your appointment will be held in a private room with a Public Health Nurse.
In the waiting room, our certified sexual health educator will be available to answer questions and share free educational resources on inclusive sexual health, harm reduction, and HIV awareness. Free safer sex supplies will also be available to take. Harm reduction resources have been provided through our collaboration with Wood Buffalo Wellness Society. Stop by for some free resources whether you have an appointment booked or not!
